VPK Teacher
Hi! I’m Kim McNeely, the new Pre-K teacher. I am so excited about this opportunity to work with young children. Sixteen of my twenty-four years of teaching in public school were in Kindergarten. I loved every minute of it. I have a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in elementary education, Special Education plus Kindergarten certification from Florida Southern College. While getting my Master’s, I actually student taught under myself because there were no SLD teachers.
I grew up in Flatwoods, Kentucky. And yes, it really was flat woods when you got to the top of the hill. My parents raised me in the Baptist Church. When I married and moved to Florida, we raised our family at First United Methodist here in town. I am blessed to have 7 children, 8 grandchildren and yes, 2 great grandchildren. They are my pride and joy.
